Dr. Mareike Thiedeitz

Mareike is a postdoctoral researcher and joined the PCBM group in April 2024. She studied civil engineering in Luebeck, Germany and obtained her master`s degree in 2018 in structural engineering. 

She pursued her PhD research at the Centre for Building Materials at Technical University Munich, Germany, which concentrated on the transient flow of thixotropic cementitious pastes. Her fields of research are phenomenological rheology, Computational Fluid Dynamics and supplementary cementitious materials.  

Over the past years, she has been part of different interdisciplinary applied research and student projects, especially with focus on cooperation with Tanzanian and Ghanaian partners.   

At PCBM, she focuses on concrete workability development with biochars.
