Research area
Thwe Thwe Win is a postdoctoral researcher in the Physical Chemistry of Building Materials Group at ETH Zurich, where she joined on September 1st, 2024.
She is currently conducting research on graphene quantum dots (GQDs) for low-carbon concrete and its 3D printing applications. Thwe is also a co-inventor of a patent on concrete involving GQDs. She has extensive expertise in building materials, sustainable construction, and concrete technology.
Before joining ETH Zurich, Thwe worked at Sika, a specialty chemicals company, and as a postdoctoral researcher at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, starting in November 2022. She earned her master's degree in Civil Engineering in 2013 from Mandalay Technological University, Myanmar, and obtained her international Ph.D. from Chulalongkorn University in August 2022, with a thesis entitled "Effect of Fly Ash in Southeast Asia on the Properties of Concrete."
