Matineh Mahmoudi

Matineh Mahmoudi is a PhD candidate in the Physical Chemistry of Building Materials group, starting from March 2023. Her research is focused on the "Robustness of 3D printable concrete" within the NCCR digital fabrication project. She deals with the variations of the material proportions at different printing environment conditions, with the VMA being the main variable. The findings would lead to flourishment of digital fabrication of concrete which is benefitial in terms of material usage optimization, increasing design flexibility, and helping with the problem of limited labour availability in today's world.

She did her maters program at the Civil Engineering departmet of Özyeğin university, Istanbul, Turkey. Her thesis focused on usage of activated End of Life materials as supplementary cementitious materials and how these materials affect the fresh and hardedned properties, as well as the durability of the concrete.

Matineh obtained Bachelor's degree from the Civil Engineering depratment at Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
